Finally Done

I am finally done blogging for strings class. It feels good to be done. This week has been very stressful because spring concert is coming up and we need to perfect our songs. It doesn't help that I am also playing the alto sax for the concert so it confuses me about the fingerings and the notes. I think it is going well although I am very stressed out this week. I am still having trouble with playing over the fingerboard but I think that I am getting better at it. Goodbye forever bloggers.

This week

I had a good week today strings class students. I have been working on my composition and it is going very well. Minuet went really well I think. Alec did pretty well but he thinks that he did bad. I am going to keep working on it very hard until it is done. I still think that after strings class is done I will drop the violin but it was fun to play while it lasted.See you next time. Good bye

Finally Some Progress

Hello again strings class people. I finally made some progress with songs like minuet but I cannot get the last 3 bars on either line. Especially the first one. It is the constant switching strings that makes me play the wrong notes and play on the wrong string. I used to think that the violin was an easy girl's instrument and that I wanted to play the cello but after playing the violin for a couple months, I realize that it is very difficult, painful, and fun to play instrument and that it is for any gender.

Hello. This week I had a bad violin week. I could not remember the notes and continued to play the wrong notes. Even during Can-Can I kept messing up and making my violin squeak. It was very embarrassing to have people cringe when I hit a note that squeaks. I do not think I will keep playing the violin after strings class. It is not the instrument for me. I think I will stick to the Guitar and the Saxophone. Good bye.

Another Week Gone

Hi. This week I was still having problems with bowing in the right place but I think that I am slowly fixing it just by playing. For my test thing, I have decided to play Can-Can. It is challenging but I think that I will be able to pull it off. Miss.S said that doing challenging songs will increase my mark. I can't get the part that switches from B to F# to G to E. I keep playing D instead of E. It sounds terrible and I keep doing it. Any suggestions? Until Next time. See ya.

Week 2

Hello bloggers. I had a new problem this week. I kept on playing over the finger board and too close to the bridge. This causes my instrument to squeak. It throws me off of my groove when playing. Unless I start off with a squeak, then I just can't really get into the groove of the song we are playing. Another problem that occurs is that when I play, and I get thrown off of the rhythm, I wait and listen for the double bass, Sam is listening to me so it throws him off so we lose 1/3 of the class. I am really excited to play the new song with the 4 part harmonies in it. It will sound so good when we finish. Until next time bloggers, good night.

Hello strings class students. I am very happy that we got to start working on songs this week. I am having trouble with the newest song we are trying to play. I keep on playing the wrong string and touching the A string with the skin on my finger skin. I brought my book home but I left my violin at school. :( It is ironic because I left my book at school over march break and brought my violin home. I think it is very hard to just hold it by my shoulder and cheek. I am always finding myself supporting the violin with my left hand. Until next time. Goodbye.
